John Ntibonera Congo Cowboy is a country singer songwriter , a humanitarian , a believer and a storyteller originally from the democratic republic of the Congo . Ntibonera blends country ,folk , Americana elements to create his own unique sound mixed with his Congo African sound. Ntibonera has received recognition award by the world top prominent listening room for songwriters in Nashville Teneese “Bluebird Cafe ” 2025 Golden pick contest winner Songwriter of the month for his song Congo Cowboy. in 2024 John made his debut at Bluebird cafe to play along side 4 times multi Grammy award winner songwriter Josh Kearl, the writer of “ Need you Now” by Lady A country group. He has also perform along side Zack Kale writer of country artist Ella Langley and a writer and producer at Sonny Music Publishing. He began singing and writing songs as a means to survive in a refugee camp. John's first experience wearing shoes occurred when he was nine years old, as he had previously fled war without shoes. After settling in the United States, John became a proud American. He and his brother founded the Ntibonera Foundation at Liberty University where he obtained his Bachelors degree in Government politics and policy. The organization is dedicated to providing shoes and humanitarian supplies to the people of Congo who have been affected by war as well as sending kids to school. John uses his music to advocate for peace, faith and a voice for the forgotten.
